Regulations for travelling with children

Children aged 0 to 5 years can only travel as a passenger if accompanied by a parent or an adult passenger (in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation). The child and the accompanying person must fly in the same service class.

Children aged 5 to 12 years can travel as a passenger if accompanied by an adult or supervised by the airline staff (In accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation).

Children over 12 years old may travel alone (In accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation). At the special request of parents, adoptive parents, guardians or trustees a child up to 16 years old may also travel under supervision of the airline staff.

The child's age is determined by the date of commencement of travel at the initial point of departure as specified in the agreement of air transportation.


  • Check-in with children

    Babies up to 2 years old may share one seat with an accompanying adult. For more than one kids up to 2 years travelling with one accompanying adult, as well as for children aged 2 to 12 years a ticket with a separate seat is required for each child.

    Tickets for a baby`s travel not taking up a separate seat are free of charge on domestic flights, on international flights a discount of 90% of the fare is provided. If a baby under the age of 2 years is issued a ticket with a separate place, a discount on the travel is subject to the conditions of the applicable fare.

    Free baggage allowance is also applied for children`s baggage. Please note that the baggage must not contain items prohibited for carriage.

    In addition to free baggage allowance the airline provides the opportunity to transport the stroller, bassinet, if they are used by the passenger. Please note that the weight of a stroller must not exceed 20 kg and it must not be in the factory package.

  • Unaccompanied children

    An unaccompanied child is a child aged from 5 to 12 years who is not accompanied by an adult passenger or a passenger who, in accordance with the civil legislation of the Russian Federation, has acquired full legal capacity before reaching the age of eighteen. At the request of parents or guardians (trustees), the transportation of unaccompanied children can be extended to children under 16 years of age, the transportation of unaccompanied children is carried out only on direct regular non-stop flights of the Aircompany. The age of the unaccompanied child is determined on the day of the start of transportation from the departure airport.

    When transporting an unaccompanied child

    aged from 5 to 12 years — the service is mandatory;

    aged from 12 to 16 years — the service can be issued at the request of parents.

    Children under 5 years of age can only fly accompanied by adult passengers.

    The cost of the “Unaccompanied child” service (Service code (RFISC) 0BH) is 3,500.00 rubles. The fee for the escort service is issued simultaneously with the ticket. An air ticket for an unaccompanied child is issued at any available economy or business class fare, without taking into account the discount for the child.

    The purchase of a ticket for the carriage of unaccompanied children is carried out only at the ticket offices, such a ticket purchase is not possible on the website.

    Unaccompanied children are accepted for transportation if:

    • there is a prior consent of the Aircompany to transport an unaccompanied child;
    • there is a confirmed booking on the transportation route;
    • there is a completed and signed application form by parents or guardians (trustees) for the transportation of an unaccompanied child (in 5 copies);
    • transportation of the child is paid in accordance with the current rules and tariffs;
    • accompanying persons stay with the child at the departure airport until boarding the plane.

    Registration of an unaccompanied child is carried out in the presence of the accompanying person upon presentation of an identity document, as well as a completed and signed application form.

    The person meeting the child indicated in the application form must be at the airport at the time of arrival of the flight and have a valid identity document with them. The presence of a photo in the document is mandatory.

    The number of unaccompanied children is limited:

    • 1 child on the flight;
    • 2 children on the flight, provided that they are relatives.

  • Documents required for travel

    It is the parents` (adoptive parents`, guardians` or trustees`) or accompanying persons` responsibility to comply with the all the regulations of the country the child is traveling to or from.

    The exit abroad of a minor child – citizen of the Russian Federation - is performed in accordance with the Russian legislation.

    The legislation of the countries the child is planning to visit, may also contain certain entry and exit requirements.

    Check that the following documents are available and valid:

    • - child`s identity document (birth certificate, passport);
    • - for international flights - notarized permission to travel signed by parents, adoptive parents, guardians or trustees, if the minor citizen of the Russian Federation is leaving the Russian Federation unaccompanied by parents, adoptive parents, guardians or trustees. (In accordance with Article 20 of Federal Law No.114-FZ “On the procedure for leaving the Russian Federation and entering the Russian Federation” dated 15.08.1996).
  • Safety precautions for children on board

    Do not leave your child unattended during the flight, please, follow the safety instructions given by flight attendants.

    Due to safety requirements, passengers travelling with children aged 0 to 12 years may not be seated in the emergency exit rows.

    Seats located directly at the emergency exit are not available to passengers under the age of 18 years.

    If you are holding an infant (under 2 years of age) on your lap, they must be attached with a separate children’s safety belt, which is fastened to the adult passenger’s seatbelt.

    Adults may hold only one infant on their lap.

    During take-off, landing and in turbulence the infant must not be left in the cot.
