In accordance with the requirements of the FAP "General Rules for Air Transportation of Passengers, baggage, cargo and requirements for passenger service, shippers, and consignees", approved by Order No. 82 of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation dated 06/28/07, the passenger is obliged to coordinate with the Airline the transportation of weapons and/or ammunition.
Rules for the transportation of weapons, ammunition and special equipment:
- When registering the transportation of weapons and ammunition, which was not agreed upon by the Airline during the booking period of the passenger seat, such transportation may be refused to the passenger.
- Passengers intending to transport weapons must come to check-in no later than 1 hour 30 minutes before departure and present weapons for registration for transportation.
- The weapons of passengers who have the right to store and carry them are necessarily transferred for temporary storage for the duration of the flight at the departure airport and issued to the owners at the end of the flight at the destination airport.
- Weapons are accepted for transportation only in a discharged state in the passenger's packaging (cases, holsters, special containers, cases, cases) that meet the requirements for the safety and security of weapons, separately from cartridges.
- When transporting weapons, the passenger must have a document with him for the right to store and carry weapons. Additionally, when importing / exporting weapons to / from the territory of the Russian Federation, the passenger must have a permit for the import / export of weapons.
- When exporting weapons outside the country of the departure airport, the passenger additionally presents to the Airline representative documents authorizing the import of weapons into the country of the destination airport and the country of the transit/transfer airports.
- Weapons and ammunition are transported free of charge.
- Armed employees of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation, the State Courier Service of Russia and the Intergovernmental Courier Service, who are on duty, in the presence of appropriate certificates and business trip certificates of the established sample, weapons for temporary storage for the duration of the flight are not transferred.
- Crossbows, spearfishing rifles, checkers, sabers, cleavers, scimitars, broadswords, swords, swords, bayonets, daggers, knives: hunting knives, knives with ejecting blades, with locking locks, imitators of any type of weapon are prohibited to be transported in passenger cabins of aircraft. Transportation is allowed only in checked baggage in the baggage compartment of the aircraft.
- Cartridges for gas weapons and gas canisters filled with nerve and tear agents, etc., are prohibited for transportation by air transport.
- Imitators of weapons (pistols, revolvers, rifles, carbines, machine guns, electric shock devices, etc.) are prohibited to be transported in aircraft cabins.
- Passengers authorized to carry firearms on board the aircraft, before passing through the screening procedures, inform the airport security staff about the presence of their service firearms.
